On today’s show, we have two interesting chats! First up, we talk about the 2nd annual Top Taco NOLA taking place on Thursday, March 15 with a whole host of activities leading up to that main event as part of Agave Week. We talk with event producer, Shane Finkelstein, who also owns Nacho Mama’s Elmwood, and Orestes Montero Cruz of Casa Borrega, which will be hosting a special dinner on the preceding Monday.

Then, we return to the Southern Food & Beverage Museum for a fascinating interview with Pepper Bowen of Culinaria Center, which is part of the National Food and Beverage Foundation (of which the museum is a part, too.) We talk food policy, our disconnect from food, urban farming, and much more. Pepper will be starting a podcast next month called “Green Pepper,” too. So, stay tuned for that. She will be a regular guest on the show moving forward, as well!
