1) President Donald Trump plans to make his first trip overseas later this month, visiting countries like Saudi Arabia and Israel to unify “the world against intolerance,” White House officials said Thursday.

2)A committee in the Louisiana Legislature voted Wednesday (May 3) to advance a bill that would bar localities from removing Confederate monuments without first getting the approval of voters.

3) President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order on religious liberties designed to ease a ban on political activity by churches and other tax-exempt institutions.
