Today’s Hot Topics:

1) Government Shutdown – While you were sleeping the government shut down and then it reopened. Rand Paul is one of the few members of Congress that has an ideological belief. Paul took a strong stance on the unfortunate budget bill.

2) Mardi Gras – Great weather across the region. Sadly, a 16 year-old decided to shoot a gun in the air. No one was injured. The incident occurred on St. Charles Ave. and Calliope St. The suspect was arrested. Krewe of Hermes, Krewe D’Etat, and Krewe of Morpheus all ride tonight leading up to the big weekend of Mardi Gras festivities. It will be a wet one.

3) New Orleans Crime – A shooting in St. Roch area and a shooting on Rocheblave area. There was also another shooting in the 9th Ward. One of the victims was a 19 year-old who screamed that the “wound burned”. How does this continue to happen on a regular basis.

4) Omarosé Onée Manigault-Newman – Is on a new Celebrity Big Brother talking about her time in the Trump White House. She was fired multiple times by Donald Trump including her job in the White House.
