WEEKDAY ACCOMPLISHMENTS **Jeff Crouere is now our official beignet critic after having the good fortune of broadcasting his Ringside Politics with a Punch show live from both The Beignet Station in Slidell and Morning Call in Metairie. With congressional elections fast approaching and with the presidential election heating up, don't miss Jeff's show daily from 7 AM-11 AM. **Terry Easley, Ed Clancy, and Jude Young continue their fine work in producing the WGSO Morning News Hour from 6-7 AM and the WGSO News at Noon. **Bernie Cyrus has been a remote warrior lately, enjoying the flavors of LA Pines Cafe and Semolina Bistro Italia. Bernie also had the legendary Ronnie Kole in-studio with him this past Thursday and will have Dr. Roch Hontas, the former Tulane star, on today (Friday, March 28). **Ken Trahan started the only local sports talk show in the market in the mid-morning sector from 11 AM-Noon Monday-Friday. Among his guests have been Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis, Tulane coach Rick Jones, LSU coach Paul Mainieri, Zephyrs Manager Ken Oberkfell, and he will have VooDoo defensive back Calvin Spears on today (Friday, March 28). **Kevin Ford continues with "Talkin' Tigers" and had visits on Thursday night from Mike Scarborough of Tigerbait.com, Randy Rossetta of the Baton Rouge Advocate, and Patrick Wright on LSU Women's Basketball. Kevin's Louisiana Sportsman Live Show continues on Thursday nights at 8 PM--the only outdoors show in the market during the week. **Russell Stegeman has started the WGSO Legal Show Saturday mornings from 8:30-9 AM. For all legal advise, call-in to Russell. **The Fantasy Frenzy crew turns their attention to major league baseball Saturday afternoons before and between ball games. **WGSO's coverage of prep baseball continues this Saturday, March 29 at 2 PM when Archbishop Rummel takes on St. Augustine. **Tim McNally welcomes Jan Shrem, Proprietor of Clos Pegase Winery in Napa; Chan Cox of the Sandestin Wine Festival; and Jackie Baston, spokesperson for the Wine and Culinary Festival in Baton Rouge this Sunday, March 30 at 11 AM. **After a few weeks hiatus, Sarah Dunn will return with Art Evolution on Saturday, April 12 at 3 PM. **Don't miss Movie Talk this Saturday from 12:15-1:45 PM with Dave Dubos and Mike Fazande. **Chef Buster had a great time calling in from the Chef Soiree in the Hood Northlake Chevrolet tent at Bogue Falaya Park. Check out Simply Ambrosia Sunday morning at 9 AM. ATTA BOY **Ken Trahan emceed the AllState Sugar Bowl National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame awards luncheon for the top scholar/athletes in the Greater New Orleans area. **UNO has won six of seven games, including a big 8-6 victory over LSU this past Wednesday in Baton Rouge. **Congratulations to the Loyola women's basketball team for reaching the national quarterfinals of the NAIA tournament. **Bernie Cyrus will soon be hosting his own television show dealing with entertainment--stay tuned. **Jeff Crouere continues to have outstanding guests on the television version of Ringside Politics with a Punch on WLAE-TV. **Ed Clancy, Jeff Crouere, and Ken Trahan continue to write monthly columns the Kenner Star.
