COVINGTON, La. - Covington residents need to get ready to reach into your pockets and pull out some more cash because the cable bill is going up again next month, but the city council told WGSO it’s not going to be without a fight.
Not only are prices at the pump going up, but now you are going to get to pay more to travel outside of reality from your living room television unless the Covington city council can put an end to it.
“So what I’m asking is the city to express ourselves and our opposition to these rate increases,” Councilman Lee Alexius said.
He told WGSO the basic cable rates are going up another $4 per month starting in February after last year’s $3 per month raise. Now the question is will the Covington Council be able to stop Charter Cable?
Despite the councils efforts authorities agree the chances are not good for a reversal. |
