LACOMBE, La. - Prevention is always the best method to deal with fires. But, St. Tammany's District Three fire fighters have planned an event for the weekend to help teach people what to do when a dangerous situation does occur.
“We want you!” That’s what firemen with Fire District Three are saying as they prepare for their Saturday open house. They want you to join the crisis. “We’re going to have a smoke trailer where the kids can go in and the kids can be taught how to get out of a smoky house, it’s going to be like a fair setup with different booths that you can go to.” Fireman Teresa Artigue said.
She told WGSO the goal of the open house is to teach people about fire safety measures in many special and exciting ways. So educate yourself, don’t wait for firemen to drag you out of your burning house.
Authorities said the open house will begin at 9 a.m. and wrap up around 3 p.m. on the Corner of South 8th Street and Highway 190 in Lacombe. |
