MANDEVILLE, La. - For more than a year now U.S. Highway 190 travelers through Mandeville have been subject to flashing break-lights, long delays and harsh driving conditions. But now fears of the prolonged project inconvenience are finally coming to an end.
“They were slightly behind schedule, but I think they are starting to catch up and they’re moving forward,” Public Works Director David DeGeneres said.
The project, which was originally scheduled to be completed this summer, is now getting back on track and may be completed on time.
So buck up Mandeville motorists, you may not have to trade in your sedan for a doon buggy after all. Officials said many of the delays have been unavoidable and they hope the project will continue smoothly from now on. |
