COVINGTON, La. - For the Covington Police department, December 7, 2007 is a date that now lives in infamy.
Ever since unknown criminals broke into City Hall, police officials have been searching for answers. The City Hall heist of $1,500 is one that has remained on the unsolved mysteries list for Covington Police for two weeks now.
Authorities tell WGSO their usual list of informants isn’t helping this time, so Crime Stoppers is stepping in to lend a hand.
“We wish they would have come forward before this and done their civic duty, but I guess now we’ll pay them to do their civic duty,” CPD Lt. Jack West said.
Anyone with information about the heist can call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP and may get a reward of up to $2,500. So if you help the police bring this guy in you may make out with more loot then he did.
Police are also still searching for the suspect in connection with last Friday’s armed robbery. |
