BATON ROUGE, La. - From the Southern Baton Rouge Journal: A shadowy group called the Louisiana Justice Fund has run an estimated $1 million in attack ads against Royal Alexander, the Republican candidate for Attorney General in this Saturday's general election. But the group, based out of a post office box in Baton Rouge, refuses to file campaign finance reports with the Louisiana Board of Ethics listing its income, expenditures or donors. Now the Executive Director of the Louisiana Justice Fund has resigned. He told the South Baton Rouge Journal that he doesn't know where the money for the organization comes from and he doesn't know if the accusations against Alexander are true. Derek Fitch of Baton Rouge said he simply opened a post office box on behalf of a friend and he doesn't know anything about the organization he is listed as executive Director of.
