Ringside: Politics With a Punch Jun 25
Jeff Crouere
Wednesday, June 25 2008

A busy Wednesday as the topics today include Speed Racer (Eddie Price) and the fallout from the newly released video of that night on the Causeway (sounds like a movie doesn't it). Bobby Jindal was pleased with the overall "success" of the latest legislative session. Oh really? Meanwhile, Jindal is facing down protesters in Shreveport now because of the pay raise. And the kicker...he won't do anything about it! So the legislators officially can bully Jindal all they want...maybe they'll take his lunch money next.  Iran is making more news in the Middle East- big surprise there. Turns out Iran can come up with a nuclear weapon in 6 months- how should we respond to that?

Guests today include Greg Larose of New Orleans City Business to talk about the reaction and effects of the legislative pay raise. State representative, John Labruzzo talks about now wanting to veto the pay raise a change of heart from before when he voted for the raise. Robert Davis of legewatch.com is spearheading a rally to protest Governor Jindal's decision to not veto the pay raise bill and he joins the show to talk about that effort. Legal analyst, Tim Mesh comes on the show to talk about the Supreme Court striking down a Louisiana law that calls for the death penalty for those convicted of raping a child.
