Senior Solutions Aug 2
Lee Balinas
Saturday, August 02 2008

Welcome back to Senior Solutions where Lee reviews the very successful Ringside Politics Comedy Review hosted by WGSO's own Jeff Crouere. Also, back to school or as Lee calls it "Parent Liberation Day" so watch for the kids when you're on the roads. Lee also discusses the unfortunate incident that happened to young Devin Funck this week, and also the 3rd anniversary of Hurricane Katrina which changed every gulf coast resident's life forever. But the signs of that may not have shown up yet although they can manifest themselves soon. Also, politically some exciting races for judge are coming up. Hear all that and a lot more on Senior Solutions with Lee Balinas.

Bernie Cyrus Show Aug 1
Bernie Cyrus
Friday, August 01 2008

Friday...Friday....FRIDAY! Yes it's Friday and it's also a weekend at Bernie's. Our prayers are with young Devin Funk who lost his arm in the alligator attack. A kidnapping and murder in Slidell makes you wonder is anywhere safe anymore? Bernie discusses that as well. More on the drilling controversy, depending on foreign oil, the presidential race, and all that jazz. Bernie's rant is on the energy crisis and also why jobs are going more to foreigners. Mayor Ben Morris joins the show to talk about the brave efforts of everyone involved in saving Devin's life. Also, should Slidell residents be concerned with bacteria in the drinking water? Dana Holyfield joins the show to talk about the Honey Island Swamp in Slidell. Is there really a monster lurking in the swamp waters? Oooooh, spooky isn't it. Also, Paul Trahan joins the show to talk more about if business has increased for the Honey Island Swamp Tours since.  Captain Kevin Foltz comes on to talk about the recent happenings on the crime front in Slidell. Senator Jack Donahue joins the show to discuss why Congress can't get along, how he stood up to his colleagues by voting against the pay raise, and more. Also, Bobby Jindal made some new appointments to the Music Commission and Bernie discusses that as well. Kick back, relax, and listen in for a good ol' time here on a weekend at Bernie's.
