Good Morning and welcome to the May 5th Morning News Hour.  Jazz Fest concluded this weekend and there was an election as well.  So what did you do vote or go to Jazz Fest.  The Neville Brothers closed Jazz Fest while Steve Scalise won the 1st District Congression Seat with 75% of the vote.  Gas prices fell just a little over the weekend.  Louisiana Lawmakers trying to figure out the puzzle that is the issue of phasing out the Louisiana income tax.  New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has been chosen a Superdelegate for the Democratic Party.    Sudden Infant Death Syndrome may not be widely reported but it is still a problem.  Harry Connick jr. filiming a movie in New Orleans for Lifetime Movie Network.    The Bill to abolish the Causeway police is losing ground and support.  What is the 311 contract?   Bernie Cyrus discussed the issue and what is the 311.  311 is an old fashioned complaint line.  Call it to report pot holes, broken street lights in New Orleans.
