After UALR got a single shot to cut the Privateers lead to 10-4, Mark McGonigle hit a 2 run homer in the 9th, to give UNO their 3rd straight SBC sweep by a score of 12-4. UNO won their 13th consecutive game, which makes their record 38-13 overall, and 18-8 in the SBC. The magic number to clinch the SBC regular season championship is now 2.

In what is becoming a very common occurence at least if you are a UNO fan the Privateers dispatched the Arkansas -Little-Rock Trojans 16-6.UNO won their 11th straight game and thrust themselves closer to the top of the Sun Belt lead.Stephen Whalen pitched 6 strong innings and UNO used an 8 run 4th inning to bust the game wide open.UNO pounded out 18 hits.UNO improves to 36-13 overall and 16-8 in Sun Belt play.

The # 29 UNO Privateers (35-13) were across town at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium to face their crosstown rival the # 28 Tulane Green Wave (32-15-1}. The Privateers came out with a 9-8 victory in an hard fought game. UNO is on a ten game winning streak and Ryan Eden went 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored, and Josh Vander Hey had a three-run home run and Freshman Jake Henderson (5-1) got the win for the second straight game to lead the Privateers tonight. UNO will travel to Little Rock to face UALR in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series this weekend in Little Rock. The two teams will kick off the set at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Could we have bottom of the 9th heroics for the second straight day, and consecutive weekend sweeps? Well, Ryan Eden got a leadoff single in the bottom of the 9th, then Jeff Lanning was hit by a pitch, Alan Harris then hits a 3-run homer to answer the above question a resounding YES!, as the Privateers win 6-4 to break out the brooms for the second staight Sunday. UNO is now solidly in second place as the Privateers run their record to 34-13 overall and 15-8 in the SBC.

Ryan O'Shea blew a 2-run lead in the 8th and the game entered the bottom of the 9th tied at 5-5. No problem though. All-American, Johnny Giavotella came through with a game-winning RBI single chalking up another win for the good guys as UNO pulled out a 6-5 win over Florida Atlantic. In this weekend series opener for the UNO Privateers against the Florida Atlantic Owls, rain stole the show for the most part due to the length of the game and rain delay time equalled 2:39 for a grand total of 5:18(that's hours and minutes). Baxter and McGonigle each hit 2 run homers which led the Privateers to a 10-0 lead. The Owls got 6 runs, but was not enough as UNO won this marathon game 10-6. Bryan Cryer ran his record to 10-1 in this one as he had 12 k's and broke the career strikeout record and set it for the time being at 311 K's, the previous record was 308 set by Wally Whitehurst. UNO ran their record up to 32-13 overall and tied for 2nd with Troy with a 13-8 record in the SBC.

The Privateers came out with a 12-5 victory in an exam delayed game due to Southern having many players with exams yesterday when the game was orginally scheduled. The Privateers came out with a 9-3 victory. T.J. Baxter went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, and Ryan Eden had three hits and scored a pair of runs as the Privateers won at USM for the first time since May 4, 2004. UNO Pitcher Justin Garcia improved his record to 6-0 as he was coming off of 3 days rest. UNO with the victory avenged an earlier loss to USM at the Mase.
