Think Out Loud Aug 23
Think Out Loud
Saturday, August 23 2008

On today's edition of Think Out Loud first up: it's Mr. Louisiana Politics, Jeff Crouere who talks about the local landscape almost 3 years after Katrina, awarding that infamous mayor of ours Ray Nagin for the "recovery" of New Orleans, and Barack Obama's VP choice. Chad Garrison returns to discuss Obama's selection of Joe Biden and if Obama is sacrificing the message of change. And Matt Rogers, new author of a best-selling book "When Answers Aren't Enough" talks about what it was like to be in the setting of Virginia Tech in the days after the massive killing at the university and that we are all created for God. Also, some comments from Jesse Jackson? You heard (and read) right all on Think Out Loud with Bruce Smith.

Think Out Loud
Saturday, August 16 2008

Welcome to Think Out Loud where Bruce is really sleep-deprived thanks to the Olympics (hey not necessarily a bad thing). On today's show it's jam-packed starting with church-state relations expert, Chad Garrison who joins the show to discuss a big forum on the west coast moderated by Rick Warren that will feature both major presidential candidates and what questions should be asked to both Barack Obama and John McCain. Melanie Audibert joins the show to talk from a counseling stance about why politicians seem to abuse their power. All that and a lot more on Think Out Loud with Bruce Smith.

On today's version of Think Out Loud, Bruce is joined at the top of the show by WGSO's own Jeff Crouere who talks about why just like the B.B. King song, in regards to Louisiana politicians it should be "their own fault." Bruce also talks to Jeff about why politicians abuse the power of office. Dr. Joey Shorter, head of schools at Northlake Christian, talks about the importance and different options of education, what drew him to Northlake, and how the school was impacted by Hurricane Katrina. Melanie Audibert talks about why we as people seem to be prone to mistakes no matter how much we are in the spotlight. All that and more on Think Out Loud with Bruce Smith.

On today's show, how are some kids' photos worth 14 million dollars? When you're the children of Brangelina, that's how. Bruce has some commentary on how absurd it is to pay so much money for someone's kids' photos. Melanie Audibert is the special guest today. She is a counselor on the Northshore and she joins the show to talk about her practice being primarily focused on families, the counseling situation in the area, and the Katrina effect now that this tragic event in history is about to reach its 3rd anniversary. All that and a lot more on Think Out Loud with Bruce Smith.
