NEW ORLEANS (WGSO) -- The New Orleans Zephyrs have a new player with an extensive major league background. The parent New York Mets have signed veteran infielder Marlon Anderson to a minor league contract and have assigned him to the Zephyrs. In 23 games with the Dodgers this season, the 33-year old Anderson hit .231 with a pair of RBI before being released. Anderson has played for the Mets, Dodgers, Phillies, Devil Rays, Cardinals, and Nationals in a 10-year major league career.
